GARDEN GIRL 1: THE FISHBOWL
The Story
This entire series took me completely by surprise... but honestly, that’s the only way I can paint! I never know where the canvas is going to take me, and I love it thataway... just like my momma and grandma used to say. I dive into each piece intuitively, like a child, letting the brush go thisaway and thataway until the magic happens.
Garden Girl 1 started it all when a faint outline of a vase appeared on the canvas, just waiting for me to define it with a little vine charcoal. She brought a beautiful, soft sense of calm into my life exactly when I needed it most. It wasn't until I looked at her alongside the others that I realized I hadn't just painted a collection... I accidentally painted a whole family of unique sisters!
