GARDEN GIRL 4: MINA
The Story
This sister took a completely different, deeply spiritual turn in the studio. Garden Girl 4 was entirely inspired by a beautiful Japanese woman named Mina, who shared the sacred, ancient practice of Ikebana with me. Ikebana isn't just about sticking flowers in a vase; it is a disciplined, meditative art form that uses structural lines, minimalist space, and natural materials to balance humanity with the earth.
As I painted, Mina's quiet wisdom completely guided my brush. The composition naturally resolved into an intense, intentional balancing act—weaving delicate, structural black lines and deep, contemplative organic space across the canvas. She stands as a serene yet powerful testament to mindfulness and quiet alignment, offering an immediate sense of focused calm and grounding harmony to the modern interior.
