she’s come undone

the story

A towering, monumental giant of an original installation that commands absolute fine art majesty from the microsecond she enters the room. Originally born during an intense creative season in early 2018, She's Come Undone serves as a profound, living historical record of emotional alignment, intuitive charting, and eventual celebration. Woven out of pale, misty winter coats, soft violet ink bleeds, cascading pink drips, and intense deep-indigo branches that reach toward the sky, the painting explores the balance between chaotic, wild movement and deep contemplative quiet. Her surface reveals a magnificent natural tension—where a soft, light-filled section painted while a silent snowstorm raged outside the studio window flows seamlessly into deep, texturized pigment variations. Caught in a state of absolute bare-hands conversation with the canvas, she is simultaneously calm and completely "busy," dissolving into pure peaceful harbors that offer an incredible space of quiet sanctuary.

  • The 2018 Studio Provenance & Title Chapters: The deep history of this grand canvas reads like a multi-layered book of redemptive survival. In the months following her completion, life around the studio drifted out of balance, prompting the artist to un-tack her from the chassis, roll her safe and sound inside a protective framework, and harbor her away in an upstairs storage bedroom for years. Yet her quiet destiny refused to be rushed. Passing through initial title chapters where she was named Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder to honor her time hidden in the dark, she later experienced a sharp, defiant transition called Snap Out of It, before her true magic finally settled onto her ultimate sovereign name. Tugging at the artist's soul big time in August 2018, she was dragged back out into the bright light for an emotional, tears-in-the-eyes reunion—a true date of all dates! Woven natively inside a makeshift bedroom studio set up on the top floor of a historical, high-ceilinged 1890s home, she required an exceptionally large, expansive wall surface just to accommodate her monumental edge-to-edge presence during the glazes. Unrolled out onto the fresh green grass to be captured via small detail video frames, she is completely in charge of her own light, ready to wrap her beauty and majesty around a major corporate environment or premier residential design project.
